    Description

    WWII Original Big Western G46-8" Fighting Knife.  Measures 13" overall with a blade length of 8".  Still retains over 75% original bluing with scattered rust/pitting in the center of blade both sides. has the correct red and black spacers on the handle, the top black spacer shows a bit of loss on one side, stacked handle looks quite good with some age patina, marks, light dings. All solid, no looseness.  Ricasso area of blade marked, "WESTERN PAT'D". Pommel end is also marked, "0183".  These were massive knives and very popular with the troops during WWII. There were 8 different variations of this Knife.  This is the Third Variation Model the Pat.No. moved from pommel to ricasso.  Fuller and pommel correct configuration.
