WWII Vintage - WESTERN CUTLERY G46-6, Shark Knife with Scabbard (4388)

You
are bidding on the WWII vintage,
WESTERN CUTLERY G46-6, SHARK KNIFE,
along with the correct and matching scabbard, shown above.
Overall length is 10-1/4"
with pinned aluminum pommel, and stacked leather washer handle. The blade is 6" nominal, and measures approx. 5-7/8" long.
The pommel is tight along with all stacking leather washers and brass guard.  The blade is brightly polished, showing some wear and honest signs of use as does the matching scabbard.  The ricasso is marked,
WESTERN / BOULDERCOLO / PAT.No.1,967,473.
The scabbard is russet leather, double stitched, which is typical for Western scabbards, with all stitching, rivets and keeper hardware intact. This is what M.H. Cole refers to as the
third variation Shark Knife
