WWII US MODEL 1942 BAYO FOR M1 GARAND & 03A3 SPRINGFIELD-PAL 1942-FULL LENGTH

Description

Very good condition original WWII US Model 1942 bayonet, as issued with the M1 Garand and Models 1903 and 03A3 Springfield rifles. Maker marked “PAL” on the left ricasso and dated 1942 with “U-flaming bomb-S”. 16” blade has original gray parkerized finish showing some wear and has been sharpened. Remaining metal finish is original gray parkerized showing some normal wear. Black plastic grips have a good tight fit and show some normal handling marks, lock button functions fine. Fitted in correct original plastic sheath that has steel throat marked “U.S. inside flaming bomb”. Scabbard has original green paint showing a little normal wear and a few scratches. No cracks or chips. A hard to find full length M1942 bayonet that will make a fine addition to a collection.
