WWII US Fighting Bowie Knife Cattaraugus 225Q USA USMC w Sheath

Good, original, WWII
blade marked "CATTARAUGUS 225Q" fighting knife. These knives were made for quartermaster/field use w/a heavy, thick blade for prying open crates and a checkered pommel for hammering. They were popular w/all servicemen and widely used. Length is 10 1/2" w/a 6" blade. It has very light sharpening w/an excellent edge. Some spotting on 1 side, minor pitting and a good amount of finish remains

uard is tight. Leather grip w/thinned out a bit and is very good and in
good solid shape. Pommel is clean and tight. Original leather sheath, slice at the throat, otherwise it's also in very good shape. Very nice workhorse knife here.
