WWII Era US Army Air Force AAF Emergency Bailout Kit - Imperial, Prov. RI. Folding Machete w/Leather Scabbard - Excellent Condition - RARE
Up for sale is a WWII Era Original US Army Air Force AAF Emergency Bailout Kit Machete.  This is the Folding version marked: Imperial, Prov. RI.  The machete has the non-removable metal Blade Guard & the Leather Scabbard.  This style machete was most commonly used in the Seat Back Pack and other Survival Kits.  This machete has a folding blade, with a non-removable metal blade guard and Plastic handle.  The blade is blued, very minor finish wear, a couple minor freckling spots.  The finish has that dark almost black color.  No evidence of sharpening.  The plastic handle is in Excellent condition, no cracks or chips.  The machete is used, please see photos for condition.  It has the original leather scabbard, which are missing on most examples of the machete.  Also, it includes the original sharpening stone, which are almost never present in most examples you find.  The leather is soft and supple, no cracks or crazing.  All seams are still intact, no fraying.  This machete and scabbard pair are in Excellent, almost Unissued Condition.  RARE to find them in this condition, especially with the scabbard.
This would make a great accessory to add to your WWII collection.
