    Description

    WWII U.S. M-3 UTICA Fighting Knife measuring 11.5" overall with a blade length of 6.75".  Silver Gray age patina on blade with some sharpening and small scattered pitting on the front half area.  Good looking leather stacked spacers.  Guard stamped, "U.S. M-3 UTICA".  Pommel end shows a flaming bomb ordnance cartouche.  Comes with a good looking leather sheath, missing snap button and leather strap.  The white powder on leather will clean off nicely.  This is the 7th variation* with the guard stamped and 8 grooved handle, the pommel end has the starburst pattern.  (See U.S. Military Knives WWII, Book 1 by Bill Walters, pg,88)
