    Description

    WWII fighting knife with a blade that appears to be made from a cut-down M1942 or M1 bayonet. 11 1/2" overall with a 6 3/8" blade. Blade has light pitting and black stains from old rust. The guard and pommel look like cast aluminum or white metal. Carved wood grips are held on with brass bolts and nuts. Original leather sheath includes a tie-down with a brass buckle. This knife was owned by Lt. Homer H. Clark, who served with the Navy in WWII aboard the destroyer USS Abner Read.
