    Description

    Original WWII Robeson Shuredge No. 20 Mark 1 Combat Utility Knife.  Knife measures 9.75" overall with a blade length of 5".  Robeson made 14 different variations of these knives for the U.S. Military during WWII.  This one is the 8th variation.  Blade is finished bright, has the double guard, all leather handle with a wood pommel end with a lead filled center on pommel end.  Blade ricasso stamped, "ROBESON SHUREDGE NO. 20".  Obverse side marked, "U.S.N." (UNITED STATES NAVY).  Come with the correct Type F leather sheath which had the belt loop on this.  Sheath shows some wear, use, age patina, some scratches by throat entrance. The Knife is tight, no looseness, the leather spacers/handle shows some minor scratches on the right side.  Blade does not appear sharpened, shows some light oxidation/age patina, but still also showing brightness.  This particular model was finished bright and not parkerized.  A beautiful piece.
