    Description

    WWII WW2 production "Blank Blade" Ka-Bar Fixed Single Blade Fighting Knife with original leather sheath. Early Peened Pommel
    Ricasso marked on one side only with  "KA-BAR"
    Other side is blank with no military branch designation.
    No other marks or stamps.
    Guard is unmarked.
    Pommel is 3/8 inch thick and peened blade tang is squarish round.
    Blade is tight and in line with spine of handle.
    Stacked leather loops on handle (a few dings are visible).
    Approximate knife measurements:
    Total length 11 inches
    Blade length 7 inches
    Handle length 4 inches
    Leather sheath is original and exact fit for blade. It has no visible makers mark stamp. Reverse side of leather sheath is hand inscribed with previous owner's name and the word "SHORTY" underneath it.  Leather has age related issues including cracking and dryness but stitching/seams/fasteners  are tight. The leather keeper which snaps at the top has torn off. (The part that  remains will be included.)
    Knife and sheath are "as found" condition with wear from use and storage. Cleaning shall be left to the discretion of new owner.
