Please note I am NOT an expert on bayonets, so all this information is just my opinion, you'll have to be the judge of this fantastic collector's item yourself. Now this bayonet is approximately 17 inches long from tip to end, it's all wood and metal , which is super cool. There are markings on on this beautiful bayonet , it's got the initials CSZK and above that it has a little v, (see ALL PICTURES). I believe this is a WAR I WORLD WAR II BAYONET, but it could be even earlier or later than that, I just don't know. I've seen some of these similar to this on the internet , but didn't have the same markings, a little bit different . I believe this is fantastic bayonet that may be from , CZECH Republic or from Germany ? This bayonet seems to be nice and solid there are scratches, dings, a little bit of rusting , discoloration, but I think that's all to be expected for as old as this bayonet is . I believe this is all original, but I don't know if it is cause i am not an expert , but it looks original to me, but again I'm NOT an expert , but either way this is a fantastic collectors item , for any collector, or any collection. If you do have any information I would love to learn about it , if you have the time. This collector's item seems like a nice solid bayonet , and it looks like the original owner, may have carved his initials TE in the wood, which I think gives this item Great Character. Please note this is exactly the way I found it, I did absolutely nothing to it, I did not clean it up at all you can still see the dust and the dirt on there, this item should clean up really nicely, if that's what you choose to do. Now this was found on the east coast of the United States. Also please note that I took these pictures with and without a flash , so you can see the different look. Please make sure and take a look at all the pictures , this is definitely the only one that I have at this time. I think this would be a fantastic gift .
