This is a WWII era Schrade-Walden Mk1 knife and sheath. This knife is pictured in Knives of the United States Military, World War II, on page 7. The blade is a little over 5 1/8" in length and has been sharpened. There are no chips to the edge of the blade. The blade is marked "SCHRADE-WALDEN" over "N.Y. U.S.A." on one side There is some finish loss from sheath wear and handling/storage. The full military hand guard is tight. The leather disc handle has thick red plastic spacers on each end and is in very good condition. The pommel is oval and has a sun burst type peen.
The sheath is unmarked.  All the stitching is here. There is wear to the bottom of the sheath as the photos show, rubs and scuffs.  The snap works. Overall the sheath is in good collectable condition.
