Item Description:
This auction is for an old used US Military fighting knife. It is marked KA-BAR USN MK2 on the blade (see pics 4 & 5). The knife measures 12 1/8" long. The blade measures just under 7" long. The blade shows heavy finish wear with tarnish and numerous scratches. There are a few small dings on the blade edge and there are a few small dents and dings on the top edge. The handle shows a good amount of wear with dents and dings and a couple of cuts or gouges in the leather washers.
The scabbard is marked USN MK2. The scabbard shows heavy wear with scuffs and scratches. The top strap button is broken off (see pic 12). The fabric of the top part shows heavy wear and looks dingy and discolored. The metal pieces have some greenish oxidation and some rust. The back of the scabbard is marked with "Goodpasture" (see pic 11). Not sure if this was someone's last name or what it may be for.
