    Description

    Vintage 60mm Sears Spotting Scope. This little scope started out as a zoom spotting scope. Either the eyepiece or the zoom lenses were not very good. It also had a very narrow field of view. Like most little refractors made in Japan in the 60's, the objective lens is very good. So I shortened the tube, and put a 1.25'' focuser and mirror diagonal on it. Now it has a wide field of view and would make a great finder for a big scope. No eyepiece.
