On one side of the blade is "RH PAL 35 Made in USA", on the other "USN MARK 1". The total length is 9.75 inches. The blade is just shy of 5 inches long. This has definitely been used, but not overly abused. I wonder how may deer and elk this thing has gutted.... The leather sandwiched handle is not cracked or damaged. Overall in good usable condition.
The sheath also shows signs of normal use. It is marked "U.S.N. MK.1" on one side and "NORD-4723,  B.M.Co. /3 VP".  The canvas is good. There is some rust to the metal parts. The plastic (composite) sheath shows wear and scratches, but is still fully functional.
Here is a good old usable knife with a lot of history.
