US WWII M-1 Garrand Bayonet w/ Scabbard UC.
Im not a militaria guy so I’m sure many of you know more about this knife than I have gleaned from the Internet.
So if I have the wrong info on here please let me know
It is worn, Rusty, ground shirt dirty dusty and old. See the photos for the details. It has the scabbard and a clip to hold it. Marked us.
Update from someone who knows more:
bayonet is actually a union fork and hoe cut down bayonet. It was probably originally a 16" Springfield armory bayonet, cut down to 10" by UFH. You can tell it was originally a 16 inch bayonet and cut down because the fuller or blood groove is wider and comes almost to the guard. Now obviously the bayonet's not 10" long so it was modified by someone, probably post WW2. Also that scabbard is an original 16 inch scabbard made by Detroit gasket Co. cut down to fit the 10 inch bayonet. You can tell by that little swirly design underneath the US ordinance bomb mark.
