U.S.  PAL ,  M1 CARBINE, Bayonet,  WW2, and M 8  BeckwIth Co.Scabbard

Description

This a Wonderful condition, Unissued  WW2,  PAL, bayonet, for the M 1 carbine and a M8 scabbard. Bayonet is in Great condition.  Blade is 100% parkerized,  has not  been in a scabbard. Wonderful Blade shows factory sharping lines. It shows no rust,dings or damage. Guard is marked U.S. M '' '' and PAL,  No flaming bomb stamping ,  Wonderful parkerizing. Hilt is in fine condition, parts work fine, pins are staked. Very nice ""SP''  ''1'', ''2'',  number.   Leather grip are in great condition, no damage, no handling marks, 268,000 made.                                       Someone has taken very good care of this M 1 carbine bayonet.
Scabbard is a issued '' M 8 ''made by Beckwith. company.  Plastics is in good condition,   Victory Plastics Co.  Metal is excellent,  Webbing is the long type with metal hanger. Plastic shows minor use, is excellent,has been repainted. B / 6 N' under wing,no top number, good stamp.  A  early made scabbard,  Rivets show no rust. Snaps shows little age. Scabbard is correct for WW2. Webbing shows very little wear, cleaned at some time. This is a extra fine set.   I will wrap bayonet and scabbard separately  Bayonet and scabbard are 75 years old.
