SOUTHERN & RICHARDSON WWII FIGHTING DAGGER ~ SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND
Very Nice Original Condition w/ Original Sheath
Sheath is the embossed type in used condition with broken keeper and tiny hole from blade tip ~ fine for display.
These Daggers were usually Private Purchase Items by British & American Troops.
There is speculation that some were purchased by the British Military SOE to supplement the F~S Commando Daggers.
The stacked leather grip made this a more substantial piece than the F~S Dagger
Leather Stacked Handle w/ Red, Black & Brass Spacers.
Brass Pommel is tight- no wobble ~  Guard is tight ~ darker than Pommel more like Bronze
Carbon Steel Blade has some age darkening but no rust.
