Overview:
Combat-proven SOCOM-X headsets provide 3-radio push-to-talk control capability with triple-flange ear pieces standard. The SOCOM-X can be configured to accommodate a multitude of hand held radios including the MBITR and PRC152 series as well as most manpack radios. The kit includes the headset, PTT, a 4-foot, 6-pin audio cable and a 12 inch, 6-pin audio cable and is packaged in a padded, blow-molded plastic case.  The headset provides superior noise reduction rating and long battery life (200 hours minimum) in normal operating conditions with an 8:1:1 duty cycle. Amplification is up to 15dB beyond ambient. Unlike standard In-Ear headsets, the SOCOM-X operates flawlessly in high wind and noisy environments. The electret boom microphone provides crystal clear audio regardless of high ambient noise and allows the user to whisper as required with no adjustment to radio or headset settings.
Applications:
SOCOM-X headsets meet MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461E. All parts are IP68 compliant.
