    Description

    This is a superb and original Second World War United States bayonet and its scabbard manufactured by Imperial.
    The bayonet is steel and with leather ribbed grips. The blade is worn bright and retains its sharp edge and back edge. The crossguard is stamped “U.S. ” with a flaming grenade and “IMPERIAL”.
    The scabbard is composite construction which has a fixed belt frog. It is stamped “B.M.CO”. To the rear it is embossed “V elongated P” and “8”.
    This shows it was World War Two production by the Victory Plastics Division of the Beckwith Manufacturing Company.
