    Description

    RARE WWII ROBESON USMC FIGHTING KNIFE W/ROBESON SHEATH.  Out of the almost 1 million fighting knives made for the U. S. Marine Corps during WWII, only 10,000 - or approximately 1% - were made by the Robeson Cutlery Company.   That, alone, makes Robeson USMC fighting knives rare.  Add to that, sadly so many were lost in combat or came back rusted or with rotted handles or broken-off pommels, to find one like this in such good condition makes it rare indeed.  As shown by the photos, this Robeson USMC has almost all of its original finish, a virtually mint handle, and comes with its original sheath with the characteristic Robeson sheath black threads.   Other than a slight movement in the guard there are flaws not shown by the photos.  This knife/sheath combination offers an opportunity for a serious collector to own one of the rarest military knives of World  War II.  If you have any questions, please ask before buying or making an offer.
