    Description

    RARE WWII PAL BLADE CO USMC FIGHTING KNIFE SHEATH.  Out of a million plus fighting knives made for the U. S. Marines during World War II, only 100,000 were made by the PAL Blade Company, making it the second-rarest USMC fighting knife of WWII.  Some of the sheaths issued with those knives were stamped "PAL BLADE CO.", as is this one, but many were left un-stamped.  Given the horrific conditions under which the Marines fought in the southwestern Pacific island campaigns, many of those knives and their sheaths were lost to combat and many more were ruined by rust and rot.  It is very unusual - rare in fact - to find a PAL USMC sheath in excellent plus condition such as this one, as shown by the photos.  If you have a PAL USMC knife in similar condition which does not have a sheath, this is your chance to pair it up with a comparable sheath.  Or, even if you just collect WWII fighting knife sheaths, here is your chance to acquire a rare one.  Please ask any questions you may have before buying or making an offer.  Thanks.
