rare US bayonet for M1 Carbine by Kinfolks. Very early Kinfolks bayonet with the unique six groove M3 trench knife style handle, These early bayonets were likely part of M3/bayonet change over contracts. As later manufacturer blades have a more standard looking Bayonet type handle. Kinfolks Inc. delivered approximately 119,000 bayonets between 12/1944 and 06/1945. Making them the second in rarity by numbers produced. It has a blued blade with some finish loss It has been carefully sharpened and retains very sharp edge. The leather handle is almost perfect with few flaws. Everything is tight with no wiggle, the catch works perfectly. It comes with a WW2 production M8A1 scabbard by B.M. Co. The knife would look great with any later ww2 or Korean War impression, and would be very tough to upgrade on. Study the pictures very carefully, what you see is what you get. Thanks for looking.
