pre-WWII Original US Army 18" Machete & Rigger Made Canvas Scabbard - Legitimus Collins & Co. No. 127 - Very Nice ConditionUp for sale is a pre-WWII Era Original US Army 18" Machete with a Rigger Made Canvas Scabbard. This machete is marked: Legitimus Collins & Co. No. 127. It has an 18" long blade, with bright blade and black hard rubber grips. The blade is in used, see photo's for Condition, some minor discoloration, no rust or pitting. It does not show any evidence of sharpening. The scabbard is Rigger Made from a .50 cal barrel bag. The end of the barrel bag was used. The throat was re-enforced with rivets and a belt loop with a M1910 belt hook, was added. The scabbard is used, see photo's for Condition, no rips or tears. These rigger made scabbards were common during WWII. A nice collectible post-WWII Vintage Machete.
