    post-WWII Era US Army M1 Bayonet & M7 Scabbard for the M1 Garand Rifle - Marked: NP US over J - Japanese National Police - Excellent Condition - RARE
    Up for sale is post-WWII Era
    US Army M1 Bayonet w/M7 Scabbard for the M1 Garand Rifle.  The M1 Bayonet was made with a 10" blade.  It is marked: NP US over J w/Flaming Bomb, this is a post-war Japanese National Police bayonet.  The blade is blued with black plastic grips.  The bayonet is used, see photo's for condition.  No rust or pitting.  NO nicks or chips in the blade  No evidence of excessive sharpening.  Excellent overall condition.  It has a US M7 Scabbard, the scabbard is marked with the US Flaming Bomb.  Some minor surface pitting on the metal throat of the scabbard, see photo.  This bayonet will fit the the following rifles: M1903 or M1903A3 Springfield or the M1 Garand Rifles.  This is a US made bayonet that was contracted for the National Police in Japan.  These were exported to Japan under the rebuilding program after the war.
