    post-WWII Era M1 Carbine Bayonet w/Leather Handle & M8A1 Scabbard - Norwegian Contract - Excellent Condition - RARE
    Up for sale is a post-WWII Era
    M1 Carbine Bayonet w/Leather Handle and an M8A1 Scabbard.  The bayonet is marked with the Norwegian Proof Mark.  The blade is in excellent condition, minor finish wear from the scabbard.  No evidence of excessive sharpening.  The leather handle is Excellent, the leather is soft and supple.  No cuts or missing pieces of leather.  The guard and pommel are marked with the Norwegian Proof Mark.  The scabbard is an original M8A1 scabbard.  Excellent condition, no cracks in the plastic body.  These bayonets were made under contract for Norway after the war, as part of the Marshall Plan to rebuild Europe.  These bayonets are somewhat RARE and difficult to find.  Please see photos.
