The guard, grip, and pommel cap are tight. The plastic grip is complete and the twisted wire is also complete. The etched blade has "U.S.C.G." in a ribbon design, another "U.S.C.G." on a flag on the reverse side, there are also anchors, an eagle standing on a cannon and other designs. The blade is straight, has not been sharpened, the tip is sharp, no nicks, and it is mostly clean with just a couple small age spots near the tip. Felt

The scabbard is solid with one small ding, the mounts and drag have surface loss freckles.

The carrying bag is in good condition but stiff, the latch works (there is no key), stitching is tight except for around the drag area, light leather loss spots/scuffs, and overall it measures 41 1/2".
