Pettibone Model 1902 Army Officers Etched Sword w/Scabbard

Description

Model 1902 Army Officers Etched Sword with Scabbard. The ricasso is marked "Pettibone" over "Bros." over "Mfg. Co." over "Cinto.O." and the reverse has a large "US". The guard and wood grip are both a little loose. The knuckleguard outer branch is very slightly pushed over the branch next to it. The etched blade is straight, unsharpened, age spots scattered throughout, some surface loss on the last 1" of the tip, and several deep nicks. The scabbard is solid with some dings on the edges, and it has nickel loss spots with light surface rust scattered throughout. Washer is intact. Length of the blade measures 30 1/8" (7/8" wide x 3/16" thick), length of the sword is 35 1/4", and in the scabbard it is 36".
