NICE 1948 FRANK M WHITING Sterling Silver/Crystal TALISMAN ROSE Lemon Dish Plate

Circa 1948 sterling silver lemon bowl/plate by Frank M. Whiting & Co.
Item is in good condition.
It measures 6 1/2” across the rim and stands just shy of 1” tall.
The etched glass center is 4”across.
Piece is marked Frank M. Whiting & Co., Sterling, 1658, Talisman Rose.
I was told it was a lemon dish and the glass bottom protects the silver from the acidic juice of the lemon wedges.
I have seen it called a wine coaster or candy dish.
Whatever you choose to use it for, you can be sure it will look elegant on the table.
