Lot of 2 Small Chinese Shar-Pei Sharpei Dog Resin Figurines
Here are two adorable small Shar-Pei dog figurines. They are both in sitting poses and full of wrinkles! The larger dog sits about 2" tall and the smaller one is about 1-1/8" tall. The larger dog is a cream or light yellowish color and the smaller one is reddish-brown. There are no marks of origin on either dog. I believe these dogs are
hand painted and made of stone ground into a kind of plaster and then reconstituted into a rock-like resin. They have wonderful lifelike detail!
These dogs have been displayed by a collector and look to be in very good condition.
As you can see in the second photo above, there is a tiny chip on the back of the smaller dog's right ear. That chip cannot be seen when the dog is facing forwards
. I see no other flaws on either dog. These dogs would make a wonderful addition to any Shar-Pei, dog or general animal collection!
