Fairbairn Sykes - Wilkinson Commando knife - FS - Ribbon on blade- England 1944

Well Lads I am going to list some US and British Fighting knives - Yippee for you! :) They are from an old time collection, horde, accumulation and of course caboodle! This old time collector was advanced and knowledgeable on these knives me not so much! So here we go!!
Here is a Fairbairn Sykes Wilkinson Sword marked Commando knife - on the blade is marked as it should be at top of blade with maker on both sides it is quite visible and nice- the knife is in overall good condition - the blade is good with no gouches or chips- no pitting but age there- no sharpening or scratch marks to the blade. The scabbard is also fine with no marks or scratches or gouges. It is missing the elastic retention strap at top of scabbard. Blade has a soldiers name and England 1944 etched on it. Old time collector believed this to be an 8th Air Force airman or officers knife- which was the big bomber command in the Europe bombing Germany! An unbelievable addition to your knife collection.
