Altec 417-8C Vintage 12" Ohm Raw Frame Guitar Speaker - Tested & Working (#2)
The Altec 417-8C is a 12-inch musical instrument loudspeaker with a continuous power rating of 75 watts and a frequency response from 60Hz to 8000 Hz. It is ideal for use in musical entertainment system of a moderate size and coverage area where true high-fidelity reproduction must be combined with high power output
They were used by Jerry Garcia and Carlos Santana among other great guitarists. A premier speaker - they were a 400 dollar upgrade in Fender and Ampeg amps in the 1960's
Very Good Condition - a few very small
scrapes in paint, cone has been re-glued (possible re-cone?), some staining on cone center (pictured)
Speaker was cleaned and tested by our technician and works great
Reads 5.4 on ohm meter (pictured)
