    Description

    Black and white engraving by George E. Perrine of Confederate General Albert Sidney Johnston. Thought by many to be the one of the finest field commanders in the Confederate Army, Johnston was killed at the Battle of Shiloh in 1862. This engraving is important because there seem to be almost no photographs of Johnston as a Confederate.
